Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel cited his side’s defeat at Stamford Bridge last night with Arsenal in part because of the condition of their stadium.
Thomas Tuchel has criticized the condition of Stamford Bridge following Chelsea‘s defeat to Arsenal , but the German was seen conceding four goals against the Gunners on a disappointing night. As for the Blues, with last night’s Premier League game (Wednesday 20 April 2022), they were twice behind and equalized before Arsenal scored two goals in the second half to collect three points. And Tuchel lamented the team’s defensive error for the defeat.

Andreas Christensen’s error at the back of the light gave Eddie Nketiah the lead before snatching Arsenal into the lead in the first half. The Chelsea boss claims they have scored five of six goals in the game, with three of them becoming a gift to the Gunners. The 48-year-old told Sky Sports after the UFABET game:
“ We scored five goals and lost 4-2, we scored three own goals and scored two regular goals , these mistakes never benefited us. These doors don’t belong to us. We lost many games in a row.” “The second half we did not fit. That we conceded that goal was a clear mistake. It was a personal mistake. We lose goals in vain. We did the same against Real Madrid and with Brentford.”

Tuchel gave Romelu Lukaku a start but was later substituted. But the German declined to discuss his striker’s performance, citing: “I have no interest in talking individually after the team’s performance as such.” It came from a mistake in defense by Andreas Christensen, which allowed the Arsenal players to score. But Tuchel thought it was the pitch’s fault. The German was quoted as referring to the goal they conceded in the defeat to Real. Madrid and Brentford at home as evidence that stadiums are not conducive to them

“To say the playing field is difficult here might sound like an excuse. But it is a very difficult stadium that we have here,” Tuchel told reporters. “It’s not conducive to us. The ball bounced awkwardly in front of Andres. [Christensen] when he wants to play football. ” We also had the same mistake against Real Madrid that caused us to miss out on qualifying for the Champions League, this time ruining our next game. I don’t remember when we got a goal like this.”
It would be a huge blow to Chelsea if they lost third place. But now they have lost two of their last three in the league. The Blues’ next game will be another home game. This time around London side West Ham and Stamford Bridge will again come under the spotlight after being condemned by Tuchel.
